According to the Consumer Data Industry Association, it's estimated that 53% of credit reports are in error to the detriment of the consumer. In today's world of automated underwriting, lenders have weighted the importance of a borrowers FICO score more now than ever before. A 20 point difference in score maybe worth tens of thousands of dollars to a homeowner! GoBanc Credit's (GBC) sole goal with our premier service, Mortgage Approval Express, is to increase our clients FICO score and groom their credit report before it undergoes mortgage loan underwriting. Using the full force and effect of the Fair Credit Reporting Act which is the consumer protection Act mandating that all information reported to the Big Three Credit repositories (Equifax, Trans Union, and Experian) are reported 100% accurate and 100% complete. Not all credit restoration companies are the same. Most competitors only offer a general dispute program. Assisting Homeowners or Home Buyers to obtain the best mortgage possible in the shortest time frame is our highest priority. Even if the purpose is not to obtain a better mortgage, we believe that if your report will pass mortgage underwriting scrutiny, it could pass any less intense evaluation for employment or promotion, auto or consumer credit, or simply self-satisfaction after a loss of income. We have designed a program focused on maximum results. Here are just a few of the services we provide: 1. Initial Consultation and Education, ICE: This is a line by line review by a Credit Specialist of each trade line and public record being reported by the bureaus under your social security number affecting your Credit Report. We explain the report and education our clients in the process. 2. Individual Restoration Plan, IRP: The Credit Specialist will create a custom strategy based on an individual report that not only identifies and corrects misreported items, but attempts to add points to your score if the customized recommendations are executed. For example, we may advise to drop or add an individual trade line or account to obtain the optimum credit-type mix of revolving, installment, and other types of accounts. It is just as important to know what not to do as it is to know what to do. Opening new credit or the wrong type of credit can damage your score. We believe the IRP customized advice is the key to our service. 3. Smart Pay-down Plan, SPP. The Credit Specialist CS will analyze open account credit limits and review if any current balances should be partially or fully paid down to intelligently recalculate the FICO score with new credit-balance ratios before the next report is pulled. For example, never pay off or pay down an account without consulting your CS first, sometimes the score is optimized by leaving small balances and not paying off the account balance in full, which could actually lower your score. You can save thousands of dollars utilizing the efficiency of this technique. This clever recommendation alone could pay for the entire cost of the service! 4. Derogatory Item Disputes DID: We will assist in disputing each derogatory account and items that maybe inaccurate or incomplete in writing to the Big Three Credit Bureaus. 5. Income Documentation Review, IDR: Here's something no traditional Credit Repair Company will do, in an effort to assist the Loan Officer, to provide the optimum programs for the borrower. Upon request, GBC will collect income documents and summarize the monthly income and /or ability to pay of the borrower. 6. Loan Officer Communication: If the loan is your ultimate goal, the Credit Specialist CS needs to actively and regularly communicate with your Loan Officer. The CS will work directly with the Loan Officer and discuss any nuances of your report that need special attention to achieve the desired results. 7. Consumer Credit File Rights *
You have a right to dispute inaccurate information in your credit report by contacting the credit bureau directly. However, neither you nor any "credit repair" company or credit repair organization has the right to have accurate, current, and verifiable information removed from your credit report. The credit bureau must remove accurate, negative information from your report only if it is over 7 years old. Bankruptcy information can be reported for up to 10 years. You have a right to obtain a copy of your credit report from a credit bureau. You may be charged a reasonable fee. There is no fee, however, if you have been turned down for credit, employment, insurance, or a rental dwelling because of information in your credit report within the preceding 60 days. The credit bureau must provide someone to help you interpret the information in your credit file. You are entitled to receive a free copy of your credit report if you are unemployed and intend to apply for employment in the next 60 days, if you are a recipient of public welfare assistance, or if you have reason to believe that there is inaccurate information in your credit report due to fraud. You have a right to sue a credit repair organization that violates the Credit Repair Organization Act. This law prohibits deceptive practices by credit repair organizations. You have the right to cancel your contract with any credit repair organization for any reason within 3 business days from the date you signed it. Credit bureaus are required to follow reasonable procedures to ensure that the information they report is accurate. However, mistakes may occur. You may, on your own, notify a credit bureau in writing that you dispute the accuracy of information in your credit file. The credit bureau must then reinvestigate and modify or remove inaccurate or incomplete information. The credit bureau may not charge any fee for this service. Any pertinent information and copies of all documents you have concerning an error should be given to the credit bureau. If the credit bureau's reinvestigation does not resolve the dispute to your satisfaction, you may send a brief statement to the credit bureau, to be kept in your file, explaining why you think the record is inaccurate. The credit bureau must include a summary of your statement about disputed information with any report it issues about you.
